Mira: Foster family

Here is the beautiful Happy, a young Labernese female born at the Mira Foundation. She is the new member of her foster family whose goal is to prepare her to become a guide dog or assistance dog. Happy left the foundation when she was 9 weeks old and will go back when she’s about 18 months old. During this period, her foster family will teach her all she needs to know to perform on her new daily life and socialize her by exposing her to various environments and situations. Foster families are emotionally involved and show a lot of courage and altruism. They are rewarded by knowing that the dogs they take car of will improve the lives of blind people, people with physical disabilities and children with pervasive developmental disorder (PDD). Well done!

Beautiful Happy!
